There was relatively little activity this day. A few reconnaissance sorties were flown over the Channel, otherwise there was little to report except for some bombing raids in the north and over Wales that evening and further propaganda leaflet drops. 261 sorties were flown during which neither side suffered any losses.

The battle took place a couple of years before I was born, however it is still hard to wrap my head around the courage and determination of the British Military to over come a superior (supposedly) force.
You have my most gratifying and never ending respect, along with the
American forces, that were motivated by your accomplishments.
