Your history is a wonderful (and incredibly detailed) history which I am delighted to have found browsing. I have very real memories of the B of B as I was then 17 and a boy at a boarding school near Maidstone. We saw fleets of German planes most and a lot of action overhead. Six months later I too joined the RAF, also as a navigator. After completing my training at Rivers I became an instructor and later joined Transport Command. So I was lucky enough to have a safe, interesting, and mostly enjoyable war. Luck of the draw I suppose! Anyway, thanks very much for your tremendous research. Robin Burns.
